May 2007 Club chairman Jason Botley announces name change of Gravesend and Northfleet Football team to Ebbsfleet United. Recently they gain sponsorship by Eurostar, which operate railway services from nearby Ebbsfleet International train station. More commonly none as the "Fleet", the team aim to offer one of the first owned and managed by an online web-based venture called MyFootballClub. They now claim to have more than 28,000 people from all over the world who are owners of a football club!
